Account information: When you sign up, we collect your email address to create and manage your account.
Link data: We store the short links you create, including the WhatsApp number, custom slug, pre-filled message, and active status.
Usage data: We collect click counts on your links to provide analytics. We do not store the personal data of people who click your links.
Payment information: When you submit a payment, we collect a screenshot or proof of your UPI transaction. We do not store card numbers or bank credentials.
2. How We Use Your Information
To create and manage your account and the short links you generate.
To provide real-time click analytics shown on your Dashboard.
To verify subscription payments and activate your plan.
To send you OTP verification codes via email for secure, password-free login.
To provide customer support when you contact us.
3. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on Google Firebase (Firestore), a secure cloud database with industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit.
Images (payment proofs, QR codes) are stored on Cloudinary with access controls.
We use Firebase Authentication with custom tokens — we never store passwords.
Access to your data is restricted by Firestore security rules that enforce role-based access control.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
We share data only with service providers required to operate LinkGen: Google Firebase (database & auth), Cloudinary (images), Brevo/Resend (email delivery).
We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights.
5. Cookies
We use Firebase Authentication session cookies to keep you logged in. These are strictly necessary and cannot be disabled without logging out.
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
6. Your Rights
Access: You can view all data associated with your account from the Dashboard.
Deletion: You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting support.
Export: Contact support to request an export of your link and click data.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email. Continued use of LinkGen after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
